One-arm supported row

Eightpace movement notes · Reviewed by a certified HYROX trainer · 7 October 2026

Practise upper-body pulling with a steady torso.

Set up

Use the bench support described in your session. Set up with a manageable dumbbell and secure footing.

Keep in mind

  1. Keep the supported position steady.
  2. Draw the weight towards your hip.
  3. Lower with control, then repeat on the other side.

What to check

Avoid using a body swing to finish repetitions. Without a suitable support, review the alternative in the plan.

Use it in your session

Follow the warm-up, target, effort and recovery in your own programme. Log actual results after doing the work. A past result is a reference, not an automatic load or pace prescription.
