Getting started
Your first HYROX: where to start
Start with the week you actually have
List your available training days, what you already do and the equipment you can use. A plan that fits real commitments is easier to evaluate than an ideal week you cannot complete.
Understand the format
Singles combine eight 1 km runs with eight stations in a fixed sequence. Division loads differ. Use the current event rulebook, not someone else’s race recap, to confirm your requirements.
Record a baseline
Capture current running frequency and comfortable running duration. A recent 5 km result can be useful context; it does not prove readiness for a hybrid race.
Check the plan against your routine
Preview the work, equipment and available time before confirming your plan. Keep your recent training answers accurate and ask for individual guidance when needed.
