Running
1 km running repeats
Practise a repeatable running rhythm over a known distance.
Set up
Use a measured route or track. Read the number of repeats and recovery in the assigned session.
Keep in mind
- Run at the effort shown, rather than chasing a target race time.
- Log the distance and split after each repeat.
- Take the planned recovery before the next repeat.
What to check
Six or eight repeats are not universal beginner doses. The foundation route uses a separate running progression.
Use it in your session
Follow the warm-up, target, effort and recovery in your own programme. Log actual results after doing the work. A past result is a reference, not an automatic load or pace prescription.
